Mortality
Why do we hide for the fate we cannot escape,
does it make us tremble so, in that eerie rhytm
Portraits of a downfall, is that what we see
As we run away, although never fast enough
The drops of time all dried up, when last bells sound
Who can see the end foretold, before the beginning
Grim reapers gracious movements, reflected on the ground
Where we try to outrun, what is written in stone
Tic Tac, Tic Tac, the sounds slowely fading away
As the dark forbidding silence falls
Even mountains die, in the touch of a moment
Compared to eternity's slow but everlasting stride
When nothing is left but the truth we deny
do we than understand the fate, we cannot escape
As we play our act 5 on a shakespeares play
Then merciful mortality, thy shall have your name.
