hayabito no
seto no iwao mo
ayu hashiru
yoshino no taki ni
nao shika-zu-keri.


NOTES:

seto (strait 瀬戸) no iwao (crag) mo (too/and)
ayu (trout) hashiru (that-run/rush)
yoshino no taki ni (~~ waterfall-towards)
[to swim upwards the waterfall so as to spawn.]
nao (still) shika(to-match/equal)-zu(nót)-keri(recollection)
