When damage is inflicted and you feel the pain.
When you discover that staying with me feels like days with nonstop rain.
When you notices the little cracks in what was once you and me.
When you feel like that here is not where you should be.
If you feel like I stab you, I hurt you, that will never make it fine.
Just know that your pain is also mine.
You want me to let you go, and I will, but could we start that slow?

But the moments I was blinded, you kept me out of the dark.

But no matter how terrifying the night, you always led me to the dawn.
When we had many problems behind our backs I knew there were a lot more to come.
I wanted to solve them all with you, rather than just some.
You gave me that slow start.
But I realise, we have to grow apart.
But the pain losing you would do, Is worse than when I would hold on to you.
