What's the point

Sometimes I can't help but wonder
what's the point of it all.
We all look for that one person that makes us complete,
that brings up the best or the worst in us.
The one we spend the rest of our life with,
have kids, grow old with.
When you're a kid and you're heart gets broken into a million pieces,
our parents tell us, they might not be the one,
that there are a million other boys or girls out there.
But what if, you've found the right guy, but he just forgot to love you back?
Than tell me, what's the point of love,
when it hurts more than it does any good ?
