Rebirth

I kissed the earth
Felt her wisdom
Flowing through my veins

Trees whispered in my ears
As in a silent embrace
I felt their suffering
Reminding me of the foolishness of my own

Wind invoked the fire
That almost drowned in my wheeping heart
Trying to overcome
The unbearable coldness in it

I reached out to the sun
Drying the tears in my frozen eyes
Filling them with hope and desire

Sunbeams filled the emptyness around me
With an embracing warmth
Making me feel loved again

I left the forest
Filled with gratitude
And born again
