Lost Wishes In The Night

Tears glinstering in the light from the stars
A dark night, snow is falling and I'm all alone
Wrapping my arms around me and looking above
Softly whispering my unheard wish for home

As my tears fall down like the snow
I close my eyes and imagine a dream
Watching the sky with the stars and clouds
I see the sun break through with a beam

It warms my face and I smile
I know it will be alright, I will be okay
I'll spread my wings and follow my wishes
But deep inside I know, they'll be no such day
