I've never written a poem about you before
and I was wondering why that could be
but then I realized that no words
can express what you mean to me

In the years that we've known each other
we have never gotten into a fight
maybe some little disagreements once in a while
but things always ended up just right

you're the one that knows me best
cause I can talk to you about anything
you're always willing to listen and help
you'd even do it without questionning

I could tell you all about my past
cause you're a 100% trustworthy
I know my secrets are safe with you
and that you'd defend me whenever necessary

I feel good when I'm with you baby
that's because we're so much alike
we often think and say the same things
all because great minds think alike

when I'm down you pick me up
you don't even have to do a thing
just by being there for me
you can make me start laughing

you're the girl anybody could wish for
and no matter what the future brings
I know you and I will always be there for you
I can tell by little meaningfull things
