Eyes tied in Ink
Eyes tied to Ink
Words weigh heavier than lead
Yet they float on whispers of air
Soft...lilting silken smooth they sway you
Hypnotize you, guide you
Cloak you in purple velvet
My moon is painted with a
collection of words
Meaningfull , seductive
Edged in silver linings
Sun lit they reflect my poets soul
Often my muse persuades me
Youthful, she whispers of new fruits to harvest
We fuse inspiring thoughts... her fruitfulness,
my words... Aged ripened like cheese
Their blend sweet and salty... flavoured
with a touch of sour
A temptress , written on parchment
She draws you in, like a maelstrom
Eyes tied to black ink, like light ties a shadow
The poet pauses.
His quill flat on the table
His mind testing the rhythm
As his voice rides the waves
