Autumn's embrace
Did autumn lose its coppery leaves, as my heart reached for you.
My persistent uncertainty, forging a distance beyond recall.
The gait of time sometimes without grace, has marched with relentless pace.
weighing your beautiful soul against my oak-hearted habits and the oozing drops of freedom.
Slowly the notion took hold, how those ponderings kept me frozen, in a stalemate.
The chains of this heartbound broken, I longed to boldly ask, my lingering question.
"My ponderings were long, they were not taken lightly, will they not tip your scale?"
Im struggling, without breath, words do not part my lips.
In a moment that lasts for ever, her face turns with questions in her eyes.
Her stare captures me, in an unbreakable grip.
I hear my voice, stammering words, that have no meaning.
Her painful laughter, a crystaline sound, clear as water. My face red, ashamed, before it turns pale. Her face now concerned ,questioning, is gradually shifting to relieve, her smile suddenly emerging, enchanting, mesmerizing. My thoughts all disappearing under her warm blanket.
