ideas took flight
I got this wild idea,
my mother said oh dear,
my father's face turned red,
I wish it was never said.
Still it toggled in my mind,
like a tickling feather,
so I called my tribe together
and let my idea unwind.
Their eyes puffed and red,
of what was being said.
Some blew their chubby cheeks,
looking like silly freaks.
What if I started blabbering,
I could make the pigs fly,
in the sunny skies so high.
Mocking chuckles filled our gathering.
seeing my eyes sad , my face blushed
A voice then rose, the room hushed
then he spoke with gentle tone
Perhaps your dream can’t stand alone
So I smiled and spoke,
so maybe its not a joke
mayby what you said is true!
What if pigs rode rainbows too?”
