Broken mirrors
They called you by different names
You never knew that it could hurt
Their words hit deep inside
Like daggers hitting in the dirt
You looked inside yourself
You think; no one is on my side
Your see your mirror’s cracked
Thought; maybe they were right
Days slowly creep by
Your shrinking more and more in your skin
The silence loud like thunder from within
You sigh and close your eyes
Just wishing it would end
But all you found was darkness as your friend
Your heart’s a book with pages torn apart
Each scar a story burned into your heart
You’re wonder; when,… or if I’ll find my way
Or; will I break more with each passing day
This burden this loneliness
Like cold shadows in your mind
It holds you suffocating tight
Leaving all hope behind
Anxiety and stress are the only things
They follow you
Like haunted echoes
Of who you used to be
Broken mirrors, shattered dreams
Falling tears and silent streams
But deep inside where the light is dim
There's a spark that will never dim
Chains are meant to be broken
Find your strength, don’t let your words unspoken
