The Little Things
Walking through the misty rain
I find my peace in the drops of dew
Even when I feel the pain
I can smell the season breaking through
A whisper in the bustling air
These tiny moments show me what is fair
It's the little things that shake me
Like the way the sunrise breaks free
The many times I've walked this street
Where my memories claimt to be defeat
I made that little step and learnt
That I can make my life and dreams be turnt
Sometimes life can stop me in my tracks
Simple whispers are calling me back
Back to the person I used to be
Before I learned to be free
But now the simple moments keep me warm
With head high I go through every storm
Coffee steam and chilly dawns
Whispering that the day has begun
In a world that spins so fast
I have find my peace in moments past
A cheerful heart and morning light
Turning the wrongs back into right
Through small reminders of the past
Made me pause and asked;
Through your tears and through your laughs
You picked up the pieces that others passed
But you did find the magic in the cracks
Do you now know that the little things always last?
Yes I know life can stop me in my tracks
And that whispers sometimes calling me back
But the person I used to be
Before I learned to be free
Can now enjoy the little things, to keep me warm
With head high I go through every storm
Sometimes life can stop me in my tracks
Simple whispers are calling me back
Back to the person I used to be
Before I learned to be free
But now the simple moments keep me warm
With head high I go through every storm
