Old pub in dreamland
You were downtown
in a brown pub
to drown some misery
to the bosom of the barmaid
nobody looked around
everyone concerned with themselves
you met an old poet
who said in a whisper
- the truth is for stupid people -
there was a deadly silence
you could hear a flower think
the barmaid removed
the last tough customers
and asked you to go
because you were infected
in the old pub dreamland
with the unknown closing virus.
