Vladslo
Among these silent witnesses
Of man’s misguided eagerness
A shattered pair of tender souls
Is caught in endless agony
Their grief so utterly profound
To stir the hearts and minds is bound
Of those that walk this hallowed ground
Where youths in scores did fall
And for their mothers grasp did call
Within these stone cold shapes
That stand in wind and icy rain
And will no more their peace regain
A bleeding heart still beats it seems
For does not in their rigid eyes
A single teardrop gleam?
