Mother Mine
A single water drop in a vast ocean
Ends up under my shoes in the sand
A long time ago put into motion
After all its travels it ends up on land
The glow of the sunlight is sparkling over the water
We walk together on that beach
Our love for each other glitters in the sand
I know I’ll always have you near me within one reach
My fingertips touch the grains of the sand
I write my name, you write yours next to mine
We make a picture of us together
A perfect permanent moment in time
I smile and reflect on this moment
You are the highlight of my day
With sand in my shoes we walk back to the car
The day is almost over, but that is okay
The sunset sneaks into the evening
You are the inspiration that brings this day its golden sky
Like one last present before the day says goodnight
I say to myself: There is no better mother than mine
