As my world is fading
the days are degrading
slowly bathing
my world in darkness

I shall not fear the everlasting
darkness that seeps into my soul
I shall not scream as the thongs
tear out the feathers of my wings

for I deserve no better to be done
this fight could not be won
I had my hands tied from the start
but I fought with the fire in my heart

As the embers are dying
my dreams are denying
I can hear them all crying
as I am done trying.
