the poem of a runaway child

I think they found my letter now
so there's no turning back
I am so far away from home now
as I erase my last track

sorry you had to find out this way
but I'm no longer able to live
in this terrible situation, as
I grab my guitar and play another riff

the last note lingers on
flows through the tears
of the people I left behind
but now I'm free of the fears

I will leave you alone now
no more anger, no more fights
they had to be searching for me now
there is a helicopter, brightly shining its lights

they won't find me, they never will
maybe one day I'll return
I'll keep contact with the girl I love
but all the others can burn!
