Dear, I'm laying down in the grass, head up high, Spotting a rainbow in the unreachable sky, Colours splashing like a cube in a milkshake, Holding my lashes, making sure I'll never wake. Green is the meadow in that movie you loved to see, Yellow is the sun that shone on us so gay and free, Blue is the glance you aimed without the appropriate bow, Red is the paint on my face when you kissed me high and low. The count came in, touching my veins, You can only see a rainbow when it rains, He sank his teeth, could feel my heart thump, My throat feels sore, my lips terribly numb. No words have I, For the only remembrance, Way up in the sky. |
