I have been told recently, that I am free If I am free, why would I be yearning to flee? I have been told recently, who I would be If I barely know myself, how could you have an idea, who I am, what I think, whatever is “meâ€. Is this freedom? To be afraid of rejection Only wanting to explain my unappreciated affection Is this freedom? To be afraid of contraction And responding in a way for your satisfaction Raging ‘cause I’m not believed this was also my action I am free to be down, misunderstood and alone Being chained in a place you call your own home I am free to be depressed, to wander, to roam Thinking ‘bout how we used to shine, now glued to the phone Then I used to rule the world, but I’m kicked from my throne It cannot be freedom to hide from today To withhold every struggle, and slowly fade away It cannot be freedom to waste every single day Only living to an event, waiting for your birthday A breakthrough, which will no longer force me to stay This is a battle worsened by past’s memory This is a battle with today’s obscurity This is a battle healed by future’s security Healed by the chords of love, Composed by world’s finest composer… Healed by You |
