Cats in love stand still
in the bedroom to look at
the Moon in spring mist.


Translation: 白狐

[Matsuo-Bashô-779] [Spring, 1692.]
néko no kóï / yamú tokì neyá no / obórózùkí.


of(= clause word > when)-cat -- (in-)love //
stop -- when/time -- of/in-"sleeping-room" //
hazy Moon (on a spring night).
