An addict

He can’t get rid of it no matter how hard he tries
All the secrets he has disguised behind lies
Since the day he started to fall
Deeper and deeper into the hole

He uses drugs to subdue the pain
Not knowing it is vain
Instead his problems get worse
And the addictive drugs become a curse

And now he’s lost the trust of everyone
Because they saw what he had become
The drugs now are completely devouring him
And the time has come to sink or swim

Now he tries to get rid of the problem he’s got
But can’t get of the carousel until he makes it stop
And now he’s too late and he dies
Wrapped up inside of all his lies…
