follow your dream

you told me your dreams,
they seemed to match mine.
sharing our thoughts
did really feel fine.
and when I was ready
to hand you my heart,
I stood there, your door closed.
my heart fell apart.

I could not but think of
whatever went wrong,
but there was no answer
so I had to move on.
and now that I see you,
playing a game,
the game that you hated.
nothing feels same.

your doubt if to trust me
now seems like a farce.
the one that's not honest
is you, it sounds harsh,
but I see you chasing
and fooling around.
no, you cannot fool me,
I stand my ground.

whoever did hurt you?
or did you tell tales!
are you the deceiver?
did you run off the rails?
if you feel you're haunted
by things from the past
you cannot but fight that
or nothing will last.

be sincere to yourself
and open your heart.
just try to let love in
and make a new start.
no man does deserve
to feel lost and to wander,
to live like a hermit
and just looking yonder.

my wish is that soon
your heart is at peace.
you'll mend what is broken
so you feel at ease.
find trust in your passion,
let rays of love beam,
rely on your feelings
and follow your dream ......
