dreams

you go to bed
like your dad said
you are thinking for hours
about stupid stuff like powers
you want to go to Dreamland
like you have planned

but then everything turns
and the pain it burns
you know you are just dreaming
but still you wake up screaming
you can't handle the pictures in your head
you can't handle the pictures of death

you see everybody you love dieing
and you start crying
you don't want to dream anymore
so you go to the door
you don't want to sleep
cause it hurts you deep
