I saw a reindeer fly

I saw a reindeer fly
Up high in the sky
On his way to a magical place

I felt blessed and stared at the sky
This moment was so wonderfully mine
And I felt a tear drop on my face

For a moment the earth stood still
Hoping it would heal all the ill
And I blew my wish away from my hand

Goodnight reindeer I whispered in the air
For I knew this moment to be very rare
And I wanted to pretend

To believe there was peace on earth
