Sun down / temple arrival / see bats flutter
upto mainhall / stairway sitting / rain fills heart
broad leaf / banana tree / manure for gardenia
monk says / nice old / Buddha paintings wall
takes torch / spot lighting / see say wonderful
makes bed / beats mats / prepares me porridge
black rice / hearty too / eating my fill
late night / lie quiet / hundred bugs outside
across mountains / clear Moon / rays through doorleaf

At dawn / alone leave / route not right
in out / high low / heavy mist perplexed
mountain red / ravine green / inflamed all around
seeing pines / one horsebarn / 10 stretched arms
stumbling barefoot / on stones / in swift current
water sound / bang bang / wind flapping clothes
wouldn't life / like this / make one happy
why be / people tied / why accrue merit
woe me / my small / gang of friends
what if / till death / never to return

山石犖确行徑微 - shān shí luò què xíng jìng wēi
黃昏到寺蝙蝠飛 - huáng hūn dào sì biān fú fēi
升堂坐階新雨足 - shēng táng zuò jiē xīn yǔ zú
芭蕉葉大梔子肥 - bā jiāo yè dà zhī zĭ féi
僧言古壁佛畫好 - sēng yán gŭ bì fó huà hăo
以火來照所見稀 - yĭ huŏ lái zhào suŏ jiàn xī
鋪床拂席置羹飯 - pū chuáng fú xí zhì gēng fàn
疏糲亦足飽我飢 - shū lì yì zú băo wŏ jī
夜深靜臥百蟲絕 - yè shēn jìng wò băi chóng jué
清月出嶺光入扉 - qīng yuè chū lĭng guāng rù fēi
